Tampere Region startups arouse global interest
21.11.2019Tampere Slush Party gathered over 350 participants to hear about the massive development of the Tampere startup scene. Tampere’s strong startup ecosystem, developed in recent years, offers good support to jump into international stage.
Tampere's own startup event Stream Festival, Rapid Tampere Industrial Accelerator, Nordic Startup School coaching programs, Tribe Tampere and the upcoming startup house Platform6 have put Tampere and its startups firmly on the world map. There is a lot going on in Tampere!
Visitors of Tampere’s Slush 2019 side event, Tampere Slush Party, got to know the solutions of some of the most interesting startups in Tampere Region in the form of sharp pitches. Bono Health introduced an application for eSports players' welfare, while Solfoil presented a solar-heated food package, and Eeedo, the winner of Nordic Startup School autumn 2019, their innovative customer service and fleet management solution. Also Qentinel, the winner of the Stream Festival 2019 pitching competition, was pitching at the event. The keynote introduced the success story of Unikie, one of the fastest growing startups in Tampere.
Investors have shown strong interest in the top startups of Tampere Region. Tampere Slush Party attracted many international investors, e.g. from US, UK and Germany. All in all, dozens of discussions between startups and investors took place at the event, tells Tommi Uitti, Startup Community Manager, Business Tampere.
