    Post Docs in Companies matches young doctors to companies: grants worth 1M€ available every year

    Post Docs in Companies, PoDoCo programme, is a joint initiative of Finnish universities, industry and foundations. It helps companies to identify promising young researchers and offers grants to facilitate the companies’ and researchers’ joint projects. The programme is funded by nine Finnish foundations.

    Already about 100 doctors have found their career in Finnish companies with the help of the PoDoCo programme. The target group is young doctors who have recently completed or will soon complete their doctoral degree. There is no limitations regarding the branch of science or branch of industry: the programme is aimed for all branch of industries and all disciplines, e.g. natural sciences, engineering and technology, medical and health sciences, agricultural sciences, social sciences and humanities. As the programme operates in English language, it is open for all international talents to join.

    New companies and young doctors are now invited to join PoDoCo: the Spring 2019 application round is now on-going until 15.4.2019! There has been some 35 full-time grants awarded annually, with the total worth of 1 M€.

    PoDoCo program is funded by PoDoCo foundation pool and companies participating in the program. The programme is co-ordinated by DIMECC, which stands for Digital, Internet, Materials & Engineering Co-Creation. The network consists of 2 000+ R&D&I professionals, 300+ organizations, 69 shareholders and 10+ co-creation facilitators. DIMECC is owned by leading Finnish companies, universities and research institutions.
